Crafted for Lexus: leather pen case
This stylish and understated pen case is the second product from Roberu to join the Crafted for Lexus collection. The Japanese leather specialist already offers a bow tie crafted from the same leather used in the interior of the Lexus LC flagship coupe. And now the artisanal collaboration continues with a product made from the same sumptuous leather adorning the Lexus LFA supercar.
According to Roberu founder Shinji Iwamoto, the prism-like shape of the pen case is a particular attribute. Technically difficult to produce, the form is not only beautiful and uniquely human-made but also functional in that it offers stability and a sense of omotenashi in the way it facilitates easy access to the inside.
The LFA leather is presented in two finishes: perforated for the exterior of the pen case, and in its natural, subtly textured form on the inside. A further nod to Lexus craftsmanship is evident in the fact that each piece of leather is sewn together by hand.
