This stylish leather travel bag is the third product from Roberu to join the Crafted for Lexus collection. Alongside this, the Japanese leather specialist also offers a bow tie and a pen case.
With the theme ‘handmade in Japan’ at its core, Roberu started out in 2009 when Shinji Iwamoto (below) began to teach himself leather-working. The brand is inspired by a vision of spreading made-in-Japan leather crafts around the world.

“I want our products to be timeless rather than timely,” explains Mr.Iwamoto, who believes in “getting back to the basics.”
Taking on a new challenge for Crafted for Lexus, Mr. Iwamoto paired Italian leather with hemp canvas to create a unique contrast of textures.
The reverse side of the leather is treated with beeswax, which gives a unique matte feel. The hemp is heat-treated with wax, making it water resistant.
His meticulous attention to detail is seen in the thoughtful nature of the design – this leather travel bag perfectly blends a sense of style with durability.
