This Lexus tyre pressure and size guide answers an important factor that has a direct bearing on everything from safety and ride comfort to fuel economy and responsiveness. Different wheel and tyre combinations require different tyre pressures, and these can sometimes alter between the front and rear of the vehicle.
As the only direct connection to the road surface, the tyres of our cars deserve special attention. They should be in damage-free condition and wearing evenly across the breadth of the tyre and around the entire circumference, to a minimum legal tread depth of 1.6 millimetres.
Specific tyre sizes and inflation values are not mandated by law but set by each vehicle manufacturer. The tyre sizes specified from the factory and the pressures that Lexus recommends to inflate them will offer the best possible balance in overall performance in normal road conditions with a modest load on board. You will find this information for all current generation models in the table below.

What if my Lexus is not listed here?
If you have a previous generation model, the recommended size and Lexus tyre pressure values for your vehicle will either be listed on the door jamb around the B-pillar (see example below), on the inside of the glove box, or in the owner’s manual.
Please note that if your vehicle is fully laden or will be used for sustained high-speed driving, the Lexus tyre pressure values will need to be increased.
Specific information on this is also shown in the same locations listed above.

Most useful. Thank you
Totally unhelpful. I am looking for help with tyre pressure check and can’t find any help.
Hello,
Thanks for your comment.
Please confirm your vehicle registration so we can assist you.
Thanks.
Interesting article regarding tyre pressures. However the query I would like to raise is that we know tyre pressure is proportional to temperature (basic law of thermodynamics) so when Lexus says my tyre pressure for my ES300 is 2.4bar when the tyre is cold ……. What temperature is cold as referred to in the user manual? Do I adjust the tyre pressures and for say when the air temperature of cold tyre is 25 deg C and readjust when air temp goes to 3 deg as in winter to compensate ….Your advice please …
Hello Julian,
Thank you for contacting us.
We can only advise that you follow the owners manual advice and set the tyre pressures to the owners manual settings before the tyres/brakes generate to much heat.
Thanks.
I have bought 2021 es 300h sports edition with 19 inch alloy rim , due to damadge i change rim to 8.5j and want to use 245 r 19 40 , is it ok to use in front and back thanks

The tyre warning light has come up on in my Lexus UX I have checked the tyre pressure and it is correct. I also do not have a flat.
Can you help
Thanks
Hello Shelly, thanks for your comment.
In the colder weather, the air in your tyres can compress which may sometimes confuse the TMPS slightly. In most cases, the pressure will right itself once you begin driving as the temperature of the tyre increases.
Keep an eye on it on your next journey, if the light remains on then your local Lexus Centre can take a look at this for you.
Thanks.
Odd that you haven’t included the standard UK measurement of PSI rather than the BAR rating. This is unfamiliar to many but worse nearly all service station air pumps are calibrated in PSI. Can you please alter the information to assist UK based drivers. Thank you.
Hello Jo,
Thank you for your feedback.
This has been passed on and the blog will be altered to included PSI very soon.
In the mean time, can we assist you in finding the correct tyre pressure for your Lexus?
Thanks.
Any chance of the PSI being updated onto page.. ?
Hello Linda,
Thank you for your feedback.
This has now been updated.
Thanks.
