  1. I have a 2016 RX450h and use cruise control a lot. However, it is increasingly fashionable for Councils to set 20 mph limits on roads (indeed, the street on which I live is one). However, I visit London and South Wales a lot, and here the 20 mph limit is not restricted to residential roads, it now includes quite lengthy sections of urban highways.
My concern is that my cruise control stops working at 30 mph.
In my view, using cruise control on 20 mph roads is a beneficial safety feature; it allows me to concentrate on the traffic, and not be distracted by looking at the speedometer all the time.
Would it be possible to upgrade my cruise control software to allow it to operate at 20 mph? I have been advised that younger Lexus than mine already have this feature, so clearly you already have the technology.
If it can be done, please advise me of the cost and time required to carry out the update.

    1. Hi Philip, thanks for your comment.

It is not possible to amend the speed limiter settings and we have no information when or if this will be possible. It is advised that speed limiters are designed for longe, straight road journeys rather than rural areas where more hazards may be present. That being said, we will pass your feedback along to our team for consideration.

      Thanks,

      Lexus UK

  2. New NX450h+ arrived today. My wife is primary driver and input her details into car. I drive the car too so downloaded the Lexus Link Plus App on my iphone (big mistake) before she did. Car data/control came through fine to my phone. Then my wife downloaded the app with the assumption data/control would be available to her too. Er no. No data comes through as the app can’t handle two users of one car and nowhere does it warn of the limitations of this very poor app.
So I deleted my account in the hope if she did the same she could reregister first and get the data/control on her phone. Er no. Lexus doesn’t delete the initial email addresses, and even if we created new email addresses it’d recognise the mobile number so doesn’t work. It’s very frustrating.
We need to start completely again and evidently set up user for the one car (which is very basic). Can anyone help?

    1. Hi Darren, thanks for your comment.

It is possible to have more than one profile linked to the vehicle. You can add another profile via Settings > Select the current logged in user’s name and there will be an option to add another. If you wish to switch between Profiles you will have to log into each account.

      Thanks,

      Lexus UK

  3. I bought a RX450h from Lexus Preston and my experience with them has been so bad I want to make a written complaint. I have no intention of doing this via Lexus Preston, as over the last 2 months they have repeatedly demonstrated a significant lack of credibility. Do you have an email address I can use for this or do I need to send it by post?

    1. Hi Steven, we are very sorry to hear this.

The best contact would be via email to cr@lexus.co.uk. Please make sure to include your full contact and vehicle details, along with a description of the issues.

      Thank you,

      Lexus UK

  4. Hi
My new Lexus app won’t connect to my car to show its position or mileage – I’ve asked my dealer and they say they can do nothing to help
What point is there in changing the app when it is useless 😡😡

    1. Hi Clare, thanks for getting in touch.

Please could you confirm your registration number and location.

      Thanks,

      Lexus UK

  5. Hello. I have recently bought a 2020, RC300h. Having trouble working out how to get the ‘easy access/exit’ to work the seat and steering wheel automatically, when unlocking and opening the drivers door. Is there an easy set up please, nothing in the handbook?
    Thanks you.

      1. Hi.
        Thanks.
Yes the seat works fine in all modes with the electric adjusters on the seat.
I have a rather thick handbook, no great info in there only, the steering wheel actions. Not on page 118 however.
The link you provided is extremely slow to load and open too then… a blank page?? I’ll take another look and respond appropriately.
        Thanks.

        Andrew.

    1. Good afternoon Amith, thank you for your comment.

We apologise for the problems you’re experiencing.

We have encountered a number of issues relating to the connected car functionality and the Lexus Link+ ‘app’. Some of these issues we know to be a direct result of some recent system changes and the migration of the app to a new platform. While we remain sure of the longer-term benefits of this move, at this time users might expect some functionality issues where we have no immediate fix. It sounds very much like your enquiry relates to this matter. Please rest assured we are doing all we can to get to the bottom of this but in the meantime, we are not able to offer immediate advice or a corrective course of action. We are working towards resolving all current issues, but in the meantime, should you choose to remove and reinstall the app and restart the connection process to your vehicle, this will have no detrimental effect. Once we are confident the corrective measures have been made, we will advise all our Centres who can then support and advise you as necessary.

We are sorry for any inconvenience as a result of this temporary problem and hope this won’t impact greatly on your overall satisfaction.

      Thank you.

  8. I have a Lexus 2023 UX and have a problem with messages via carplay not reading my replies and sending what do you want. My phone works fine on my partners Carplay. i have had the car into my local garage as Apple suggested to have the multimedia system software to be reinstalled. I was told this cannot be done as it needs to go back to Japan to have it reinstalled, Surely this cannot be true

    1. Hello Stuart,
Please may you provide your vehicle registration so that we can look into this for you.
      Thanks.

  9. Hi
I have recently purchased NX 300h, 2019.. Someone has attempted to steal my car twice, disabling the alarm within minutes fortunately they haven’t manage to steel it but it has cost me £150 both time for Lexus to put things right.
I would like to know if or when you are going to roll out the protection plate and security hardware for the NX series?

    1. Hi Dave, we’re very sorry to hear this.

We would recommend additional protection measures such as wheel or steering locks, or potentially a secondary immobiliser. We are working on a security update which further information will be available for around April time.

If you would like us to contact you when this becomes available, please send your contact and vehicle details over to toyota.blog@tgb.toyota.co.uk

      Thanks,

      Lexus UK
