Lexus NX price and specification

Fresh for 2015, the Lexus NX mid-sized crossover comes in two distinct flavours. The hybrid NX 300h mixes electric and petrol power, while the NX 200t is the first model to use Lexus’ sporty new 2.0-litre petrol turbo engine.

The Lexus NX 300h comes with five levels of equipment, all of which deliver on Lexus’ promise of luxury, comfort and state-of-the-art user-friendly technology. The NX 200t however, comes exclusively in the dynamic F SPORT specification, reflecting its performance focus.

NX is the first model to have Lexus’ millimetre-wave, radar-controlled Pre-Crash Safety system and Adaptive Cruise Control as standard on all versions. Other features include a wireless charging tray to let driver and passenger recharge their electronic devices, and for the first time, a new Remote Touch Interface with a touchpad control.

Further features include a Panoramic View Monitor, a comprehensive multi-information display (incorporating a G-sensor and boost meter on the NX 200t), head-up display, blind spot monitor and Rear Cross Traffic Alert.

The NX 300h S, the entry point to the range, is available with front-wheel drive only; all other NX 300h models will have all-wheel drive, equipped with a second electric motor on the rear axle.

In recent Euro NCAP crash testing, the NX scored the maximum five-star rating and proved the best-performing model in its class

Kommentar?

    1. Hi Rolf
      Thanks for your post.
Because this is the Blog for Lexus Division in the UK, we will not be aware of the details or specification of vehicles destined for the Norwegian market. We would recommend that you contact Lexus Norway and for ease they can be reached via the attached link. http://www.lexus.no/
      Hope this helps.

    1. Hi Stan
      Thanks for your post.
We can confirm CO2 figures for the NX 300h for you. The combined figure for all 4WD derivatives is 121 g/km of CO2, it is 116 g/km for the 2WD model. Hope this helps but let us know if you have any other questions.

      1. That’s great thanks, David – already got a lease quote from Lexus, so providing you don’t hike prices between now and Sept/Oct I’m going to order one of these beauties.

        1. Thanks for the feedback Stan and great to hear you will be ordering an NX.
No planned price changes planned at the moment since our announcement in May. The only changes we have made is to now make the panoramic roof or sunroof available on certain grades as an option.
          Hope this helps.

  2. Can you advise if the new NX front passenger seat has height adjustment. Having had 2 RX400s with electronic adjustment it was a massive shock for the CT200 to not have any height adjustment-even basic Polos and Corsas have that in the front passenger seat.

    1. Hello David
Thanks for your post and for your interest in the new Lexus NX.
We can confirm that both the driver and passenger seat are height adjustable.
Hope this helps and let us know if you have any other questions.

  3. I am currently trading in my CT200 as it doesnt have lumbar support. Can you tell me which models will have lumbar support as an extra or as sandard please?

    1. Hi Steve
      Thanks for your post.
You do not mention which model you would like to trade it in for but we can advise that the CT 200h Premier has lumber support on the drivers seat.
Hope this helps but let us know if you have any other questions.

  4. Why don’t you offer the option of 17 inch wheels with every grade – or at least a few grades, not only the entry level S? 17 inch wheels are cheaper, transmit less road noise, helps fuel efficiency and reduces CO2.

It seems like those of you at Lexus UK who came up with the UK grades S, SE, etc. put your own bit of personal preference ahead everything without giving the customer the ability to chose.

Don’t give us the usual excuse that the car comes designed for a particular wheel size – most of us already know that. The question is, why did you configure the grades in this way such that only grade a will leave the factory designed for 17 inch wheels?

As you might gather by now, I am not a fan of low profile fat tyres and I am amazed at how Toyota talks about producing efficient, green cars and then go and fit big fat tyres in their cars.

At the end, the NX S grade appears to me to be nothing more than a Marketing gimmick so you can quote the lowest CO2 and mpg in your adverts. When I bought my 2010 Prius, I specifically picked the smaller rim and I am glad I did to this date. There is absolutely no way I can do the same with the NX 300h if I wanted to go for AWD. I am very dissapointed.

    1. Hi JayZ
Thanks for your post and for your interest in the new Lexus NX.
You raise a good point about the alloy wheels and this will be passed back to the product team. We try to ensure that we offer a broad specification across our range which meets the needs and budgets of our customers. Not always easy to get right and the fact that you have taken the time to contact us about this does mean that at least we can review in the future. We fully understand your reasons for requesting a smaller wheel. Should we receive any further information from the product team about your request then we will of course let you know. Thanks again for your feedback. It is appreciated.

    2. Hi JayZ

Further to your post about the NX wheels and our first reply, there are a couple of points which may be of interest. Firstly, and to reiterate, you make some fair points and these have been fed back.

As with all vehicle manufacturers we conduct significant amounts of research which tells us the vast majority of customers actually prefer the aesthetics of larger wheels. The ratio of customers asking for larger wheels vs. smaller wheels is roughly 20:1.

Another point relates to stocking requirements which can be extremely complex. Having every grade with 2 alloy wheel sizes could effectively double stocking complexity, and strange though it may seem reduce the chance of matching exact customer choice (grade, ext. colour, int. trim). The extra stocking complexity could also mean additional supply chain cost, which would then impact upon the vehicle price.

All that said, we’re keen to listen to feedback and as mentioned this has been fed back. Thanks again.

  5. The model that appeals to me is the Luxury. However coming from an Evoque I would require the following extras, some of which do not seem available on this model.

    Privacy glass
    Sunroof
    Led headlights
    Auto tailgate
    Sat Nav

Also can you spec the F sport without the press slated hard suspension?

    1. Hello Alan
Thanks for your post for for your interest in the new Lexus NX.
We ran this past our product team about the Luxury spec and they have confirmed that this grade does come with privacy glass and a sunroof is an added option. LED headlamps (as per F Sport and Premier) are not available but the auto tailgate is available with the convenience pack. Lastly you can choose Lexus Navigation or Premium Navigation options. Finally, it is not possible to order the F Sport with different suspension but we do recommend a test drive to see this for yourself.
Hope this helps and let us know if you have any other questions.

  6. HI,

Please can you advise what the tow bar nose weight limit is on the NX300 Luxury, also what is the gross train weight allowed for car & caravan?

    Thanks

    Matt

    1. Hi Matt
Thanks for your post and for your interest in the new Lexus NX.
The tow bar nose weight limit on the NX 300h Luxury is 60kg. The towing capacity is 1,500kg for a braked trailer and 750kg unbraked.
Hope this helps and let us know if you have any other questions.

  7. Drove the NX Premier model on 2nd October 2014, in 1 word Brilliant!!!! Do not know if I can manage to wait until 13th October for my NX Premier. This will be my 5th Lexus in 3 years and myself and my wife won’t be driving anything else.

    1. Thanks for your post Rob.
Great news about your test drive and not long to wait now! Feel free to post a pic of your NX on our UK Lexus Facebook page when you collect it.
