Fresh for 2015, the Lexus NX mid-sized crossover comes in two distinct flavours. The hybrid NX 300h mixes electric and petrol power, while the NX 200t is the first model to use Lexus’ sporty new 2.0-litre petrol turbo engine.
The Lexus NX 300h comes with five levels of equipment, all of which deliver on Lexus’ promise of luxury, comfort and state-of-the-art user-friendly technology. The NX 200t however, comes exclusively in the dynamic F SPORT specification, reflecting its performance focus.
NX is the first model to have Lexus’ millimetre-wave, radar-controlled Pre-Crash Safety system and Adaptive Cruise Control as standard on all versions. Other features include a wireless charging tray to let driver and passenger recharge their electronic devices, and for the first time, a new Remote Touch Interface with a touchpad control.
Further features include a Panoramic View Monitor, a comprehensive multi-information display (incorporating a G-sensor and boost meter on the NX 200t), head-up display, blind spot monitor and Rear Cross Traffic Alert.
The NX 300h S, the entry point to the range, is available with front-wheel drive only; all other NX 300h models will have all-wheel drive, equipped with a second electric motor on the rear axle.
In recent Euro NCAP crash testing, the NX scored the maximum five-star rating and proved the best-performing model in its class

Lexus NX options and option packs
Lexus Navigation is available as an option (£995) on all S, SE, Luxury and F Sport grades, with the more sophisticated Lexus Premium Navigation system (£1,995) additionally offered for F Sport.
The NX 300h Luxury can be specified with a Convenience Pack (£495), comprising the new wireless smartphone charger and power-operated tailgate). Customers can add a sunroof (£1,000) to the F Sport and Premier NX models and Lexus’s Adaptive Variable Suspension system (£750) can added to the F Sport specification. Across the board, metallic paint is a £645 option.
The NX 200t F Sport mirrors the options found on the NX 300h F Sport.
When will the full list of specs and options be available? I quite fancy the F Sport but with some of the premier spec tech – panoramic view, premium nav, ventilated seats…is that combination possible?
Hello Janey
Some details are on our website and this link will take you there. http://www.lexus.co.uk/car-models/nx/beijing-teaser/index.tmex#/
You need to scroll to bottom. With regard to your questions though, the Premium Navigation is an option for F Sport so this can be added, the panoramic roof, and ventilated seats and only on the Premier though. Hope this helps and let us know if you have any further questions.
Hi David
Thanks for the response. It was the panoramic view I meant – the cameras which allow you to see all around the vehicle…is this an option on FSport?
Hi Janey
Thanks for reply and I do apologise as I should have said view and not roof in my previous reply. Just to clarify, the Lexus NX does not have a panoramic roof but panoramic view which uses cameras located around the vehicle. A sunroof is an option on the F Sport and Premier grades. Hope this helps but do let us know if you have any other questions.
Is leather an upgrade available on all trim levels or is it standard on any? Also can parking sensors be added to the se spec? Really excited about the nx just hope the lease is reasonable
Hi Kathryn
Thanks for your post and for your interest in the new Lexus NX.
Leather will be standard on the Luxury, F Sport and Premier grade vehicles. With regard to parking sensors, all NX grades are equipped with a rear parking monitor, (camera). We are looking at introducing front and rear sensors but as some specifications are still being finalised, we will need to confirm this nearer the launch date. We are also looking to introduce front and rear parking sensors as a dealer fit accessory on the S and SE grades. Again we will need to double check nearer the time.
Hope this helps for now but do let us know if you have any other questions.
Hi David,
Is the rear parking monitor an actual camera showing what is behind the vehicle, or simply an image showing the proximity of obsticles but no “real” visual?
Thanks,
Janey
Hello Janey
The rear parking monitor is an actual camera, so it will provide a real visual of the area behind the vehicle displayed on the screen in the dashboard.
Hope this helps.
I have a BMW X3–SE Auto with sunroof.
Looking to change in Jan,2015
The latter is a must have –why would I have to purchase the £43K version of the NX to get this ?–
Would waiting for the Auto 2 Litre solve this dilemma/make a better choice ?
Hello Ian
Thanks for your post and for your interest in the new Lexus NX.
We have double checked with the product team and a sunroof is offered as an option on the F Sport and Premier grades for the 300h, with regard to the 200t the plan is only the F Sport grade will have the option of Sunroof.
Hope this helps clarify but do let us know if you have any other questions.
When will the nx be in uk showrooms to take a look at? I cannot wait to see this car in the flesh!!
Hello Janey
We are with you on this and cannot wait to finally see this vehicle first hand. We are expecting showroom vehicles to be delivered to our network in October and the excitement is certainly building. The NX represents a new model in a new segment for Lexus. We will be sure to post any updates on our Lexus Blog.
Definitely on my radar but will depend on what I’ll need to trade across from my March 2014 IS300h. If I knew the NX was going to cost that ‘little’ I would have held off getting the IS a couple of months ago.
I’d want the premium nav too but is this not an option on the Lux model?
Hello Peter
Thanks for your post and for your interest in the new Lexus NX.
We have checked with the product team regarding Premium Navigation, but unfortunately this option is not available on the S, SE and Luxury grades. It is an option on the F Sport and standard on the Premier. Hope this helps clarify and let us know if you have any other questions.
Hi,
Could we the DEALER and SMR provider for Toyota and Lexus in Kerman Iran do business with you in England or a representative of yours in one of the Persian Golf Arab countries or any other country in the region with present sanctions or s soon the sanctions are lifted?
We would be happy to hear from you at your convenience thru my email or on my phone 00989132960906 or …0960906.
Best of regards,
Gholam
Hi Gholam
Thanks for your post and for contacting us.
We would have to recommend that you discuss this matter further with the Toyota and Lexus distributor in your country or nearest country distributor. If you need contact details we could help pass on if you let us know which country you prefer.
Hope this helps.
I’ve got a Luxury on order – hopefully for very early October. Will be my 4th Lexus. I’m adding the convenience pack and navigation, but am very disappointed I can’t have a sunroof ( or the panoramic roof ). Is there any chance at all I can get this option ? I will not upgrade to F-Sport. Also I want the possibility of changing the wheels – been told this isn’t possible either – but why not ? These are things that will certainly not help when customers are looking to come across from another brand.
Hi Stirling
Thanks for your post and good to hear about your Lexus NX on order. Just so you are aware we have now decided to offer the panoramic roof as an option. This is a very recent decision and we are in the process of updating our network (incase your dealer is not aware). We are just checking about the wheels and will get back in touch with you again shortly.
Hope this helps.
Hi Stirling
Just had the latest news from our product team regarding your enquiry. They have confirmed that we are going to provide both sunroof and panoramic roof as options for the Luxury, F Sport and Premier grades. This will be confirmed to our network on Tuesday next week and the ordering system for these options should open by mid July. With regard to wheels though, unfortunately do not have the factory flexibility to offer alternative alloy options, but it is possible to order the F Sport wheels via the dealer parts department.
Hope this helps clarify and thanks again for your post. If you have any other questions let us know.
David.
Thank you for your reply. That’s good news and I have called my supplying dealer. He’s going to let me know as soon as he has confirmation about the roof situation.
I have two further questions with regard to the roof – more than likely I will specify sunroof as opposed to panoramic – the first being if I have panoramic, I presume I will not get roof rails ? The second being, as I have my order in ( but can’t believe my car is being built yet ) will it push out my delivery time ? I’d obviously hope not.
Many thanks, Stirling.
Hello from m Serbia. We here have toyota dealers but not lexus dealers. Nearest contry is Croatia, and my question is about price and specifications of nx 200t in Croatia, Hungary, Romania, Slovenia or Germany. Greetings.
Nx 300h basic in UK 37000 eur in holland 47000 eur???? WHY
Hi Kosssta
Thanks for your post.
Because specification and prices can vary on the same car across Europe, you will need to check what these are with the individual countries involved. We will know the specification and cost of Lexus NX destined for the UK market but not for other regions. Finally, taxation on cars across Europe can vary which explains why you will see price variations.
Hope this helps.
Hi there – looking at this for my wife as well
1- Why don’t you make all the seats heated
2 – why do the options such as a sunroof to one model and not the other
Just make it flexible so every one can have what base car they want plus tag on various options
Please give a better answer than “the product team say so”
Shami
Hello Shami
Thanks for your post and great to hear of your interest in the new Lexus NX.
We try to be as flexible as possible when it comes to vehicle specification but accept that we cannot always meet individual needs with a product as complex as a car. Lexus prides itself on offering very few options but rather providing a clear grading structure with pricing between grades so when you look at a car in the showroom the features are included in the price you see. Looking at your queries, a sun roof will be available as an option on the Luxury, F Sport and Premier vehicle grades. Heated seats are available as standard on four of the five grades so SE, Luxury, F Sport and Premier.
Hope this helps but let us know if you have any other questions.
Hello again David.
Any answers on my ” roof ” questions please ?
Many thanks, Stirling.
Hello Stirling
Sorry for delay on this, am checking now.
Hi Stirling
If you decide to go with the panoramic roof then roof rails cannot be fitted as well and order books do not open for this feature until about mid July so delivery would not start on these models until November. With regard to sunroof we are just checking this further.
Hope this helps.
Thanks for your answer..can you tell me a price difference between 300h f sport vs 200t f sport in the UK. Tnx
Hi Kosssta
Thanks for your post.
The price of the Lexus NX F Sport in the UK market is £36,995 on the road. We have not yet announced prices for the 200t as these will be available later in the year.
Hope this helps.
Hi I currently have an IS250 which I use to tow a caravan with an mtplm of 1485kg. As the NX is an suv will it be able to tow my caravan and if so what is the towing limit ?
Hello Colin
Thanks for your post.
Towing limits are as follows and this applies to 4×4 versions of NX only. The limits are 750kg with an unbraked trailer and 1,500kg with a braked trailer. Hope this helps and let us know if you have any other queries.
Hello,
Will the USA NX 200t or 200t f sport have a heads up display with the miles per hour displayed? Thanks
Hello Targetman
Thanks for your post and for your interest in the new Lexus NX.
Just to be on the safe side we are going to recommend that you double check this with Lexus in the US as the specification of models will vary across the globe. We will know the specification of the NX for the UK market but will not know what this should be for the US and rather than give incorrect information here is a link to the US Lexus site where you can contact them about this. http://www.lexus.com/
Hope this helps.
