These are the first official photos of a right-hand drive Lexus NX showing its interior.

The images provide a first look at some of the different trim combinations which will be available on the NX – until now, all cabin images have been of the F Sport grade.

Cabin highlights include a thick-rimmed steering wheel, a central silver frame embedded in the instrument panel and robust knee pads for driver and front passenger.

The dash is split into two zones – display and operation – to provide the driver with easy, intuitive command of the advanced technology that the car is equipped with. For instance, the multimedia system is controlled by a remote touch tracer pad, and wireless mobile phone charging makes its debut in the NX.

Chief Engineer, Takeaki Kato, told us his priorities for the  interior of NX, saying: “We were obsessive about fine details such as the method of stitching the upholstery and the adoption of LFA cosmetic bolts. The instrument panel is an important item for the driver, so we added a boost meter for the turbo and a G-meter, plus a whole new console area with a newly developed touch pad type Remote Touch Interface.”

He added: “We spared no expense on the leather and stitching, and a lot of thought was put into the design of the seats.”

Prices start at £29,495, and the line-up will be comprised of five grades; S, SE, Luxury, F Sport and Premier. In March 2015, a new 2.0-litre turbocharged petrol engine will join the range – it will be available in F Sport grade only.

  1. But most of these pictures are F-Sport. And where they are not – is the dashboard going to be cream ??? Got a silver ( Luxury ) one on order with black leather. Hoping roof lining will be grey with a black dashboard. Can you confirm please ? Many thanks.

    1. Hi Stirling
      Thanks for your post.
Just to reassure you, you will definitely be getting a black dashboard. Roof lining will be more of an ivory/beige colour.
      Hope this helps

    1. Hello Mike
      Thanks for your post.
Our product team have confirmed that all Lexus dashboards will be black.
Hope this helps but let us know if you have any other questions.

  2. Please – can you confirm which grades the +/- gear shift paddles will be available on? I understood just on Fsport but the last image shows a non Fsport steering wheel with the paddles

    1. Hi Jack
All NX 300h models apart from the S grade (2 wheel drive) version will have the gear shift paddles.
      Hope this helps.

      1. Thanks David – and these can be used to manually override the chosen gear, i.e. you could manually drop to a lower gear when overtake?

        1. Hi Jack
          Thanks for your post.
You are right. When you use the paddle shift gearbox it does enable you to manually drop to a lower gear if you need to overtake.
Hope this helps and let us know if you have any other questions.

  3. What is the range on this vehicle? My current car has a range of around 550 miles per fuel fill up, obviously this changes based on driving conditions and style but what is the average range on a full fuel tank please?

    1. Hi Janey
Thanks for your post and for your interest in the new Lexus NX 300h.
We cannot give you a conclusive or average figure because we have not received any of our cars yet as they are due in October. It would be possible to give a theoretical range based on the combined fuel consumption, (we have taken 54.3 mpg applicable to the Luxury, F Sport and Premier grades) and calculated this against the fuel tank capacity (56 litres or 12.31 imperial gallons) giving a range of 668 miles. However as you correctly point out, many factors influence consumption so this figure is purely based on the calculation and therefore is not indicative of real world driving conditions.
We hope this helps as a guide for you but the best test would be to drive one once the demonstrators start to arrive at our dealer network. Please let us know if you have any further questions.

  4. What range does the NX300h have from a full fuel tank? My current car has around 500/550 miles on a full tank. Obviously the range will depend on driving style and conditions but I wouldn’t want to be filling up numerous times when travelling up and down the country

  5. Which grades can I have a panoramic roof and the auto tailgate on please? Do they come standard on any grade or are they optional and if so optional across the range please? This is for the UK spec

    1. Hi Jack
      Thank you for your post.
The panoramic roof is available as an option on the Luxury, F Sport and Premier grades. The power tailgate is an option (part of convenience pack) on the Luxury but is standard on the F Sport and Premier grades. Hope this helps and let us know if you have any other questions.

      1. Thank you David. How much is the charge for the panoramic roof – only sunroof is listed on spec at £1000 but sunroof is different thing to a panoramic roof to me

        1. Hi Jack
          Thanks for your post.
To answer your query firstly the panoramic roof and sunroof are different items however both cost £1,000 (including VAT) as an option. To give you a bit more background, when we first launched the NX specification we did not choose the panoramic roof. However, it soon became clear that potential owners were very keen on this feature so we decided to introduce this an an option. This only happened in the last couple of months and we are ensuring that all pf our marketing materials reflect the change we made. The panoramic roof will be added to the price list and we are sorry for any confusion caused.
Hope this helps explain a bit further and thank you again for your interest in the new Lexus NX. Please let us know if you need any further help.

    1. Hello Neil
Thanks for your post and for your interest in the new Lexus NX.
Your local Lexus dealer would be happy to help with letting you borrow one if you want to go out for a test drive with them? We know this is probably not quite what you had in mind though . . . .
Cars due to arrive at dealers from October if you fancy having a go.

  6. I think it needs to be mentioned that yes, you can now specify either a panoramic roof OR a sunroof on the NX. Not both. And, if you choose the panoramic roof, you will not get the roof rails – and therefore will not be able to fit roof bars – potentially taking away the ability to carry anything on the roof. Of course there may be an after market roof system available at some stage in the future for cars without the standard factory fitted rails. I’m not going to take the chance so have ordered the sunroof option on my Luxury spec. And, truthfully, I’m quite happy with that ( despite the fact it has delayed the eta of my vehicle by a month ). My choice though – and previously I did not have either option to choose from ! Thank you for listening to your customers.

    1. Thank you Stirling, useful information. So difference is sunroof will open but not cover all roof of car, panoramic roof won’t open but runs length of car?

Would be great to see internal images of the two if there are some

      1. That’s my understanding – panoramic full length, sunroof like normal sunroof. What I don’t know is if the panoramic roof has some sort of inside blind fitted. And – I’d expect the sunroof to reduce headroom. What is speculation at present will become reality in just over 6 weeks ( provided production is on schedule ) when the first batch of vehicles arrive. It makes a lot more sense to wait until you can touchy / feely one in the flesh. I was lucky to have been able to do that so I have a general idea. And I want a new car asap. If I had have waited for mid October to see the car and then order, I think I would have been lucky to see one this year. But it would have been more sensible to have done so in my honest opinion.
