Lexus IS 300h: revised range and pricing

Spring brings a revised line-up for Lexus’s stand-out IS 300h sports saloon, delivering more choice, higher efficiency and impressive value. The changes are led by the introduction of the keenly priced new Advance model, which benefits from a wealth of additional premium equipment features.

The arrival of the Advance coincides with a revised pricing structure that secures customer purchase savings of up to £1,745, and more competitive monthly PCP payments. The full hybrid powertrain has achieved compliance with Euro 6 standards, yielding lower CO2 emissions (from 97g/km, one of the lowest levels in its class) and better fuel economy, which in turn contribute to reduced ownership costs.

IS 300h Advance
With its singular, striking design and leading-edge hybrid technology, the IS 300h remains the discerning driver’s choice in the hotly contested executive saloon market. The new Advance model reasserts Lexus’s signature combination of luxury, style and driving pleasure in a package that represents exceptional value.

The Advance takes the existing Luxury grade as its starting point, adding the Lexus Navigation system, leather upholstery, heated/ventilated electrically adjustable front seats and a reversing camera to the specification. At the same time, the on-the-road price of £31,495 provides more than £3,000 of “complimentary” value to the customer in comparison to the Luxury grade.

In other respects, the specification matches the Luxury grade in providing front and rear parking sensors, 17-inch alloy wheels, dusk-sensing HID headlights, cruise control, an auto-dimming rear view mirror, dual-zone climate control and rain-sensing wipers.

Lexus is making the new Advance even more affordable with a personal contract purchase plan available through Lexus Connect offering monthly payments from £319 (42 months, 3.9 per cent APR representative).

IS 300h F Sport
The revision to the pricing of the IS range makes the F Sport grade better value than ever, with the on-the-road price brought down by £1,000. Affordability is further reflected in the availability of monthly PCP plans from just £329 a month with Lexus Connect**.

Improved emissions and fuel economy
The superb efficiency of the IS’s Lexus Hybrid Drive full hybrid powertrain further strengthens the model’s cost of ownership profile.

Compliance with Euro 6 standards means that CO2 output now starts from 97g/km (SE model with 16-inch wheels), one of the lowest in the IS’s class. This exempts the IS 300h SE from annual road tax (Vehicle Excise Duty), while all other IS versions fall within VED Band B, attracting a zero charge in the first year of ownership from new, and just £20 annually thereafter (2014 – 2015 rates).

The low emissions performance further attracts low benefit-in-kind rates for company car tax payers – 14 per cent for the SE with 16-inch wheels; 15 per cent for the Executive Edition, Luxury and Advance; and 16 per cent for the F Sport and Premier.

All IS 300h models now comply with Euro 6 emissions standards and also deliver an improvement in official combined cycle fuel economy.
