Lexus is introducing a series of enhancements to the ES 300h saloon range for the 2023 model year, including an upgraded multimedia system.
Introduced in 2018, the Lexus ES 300h has proved attractive to private and business customers alike who appreciate its high levels of comfort and convenience. The ease-of-use quality is at the heart of the model’s new multimedia system, which provides faster response, more intuitive operation and access to more functions. New features include cloud-based navigation, improved recognition of voice commands and wireless smartphone integration using Apple CarPlay (a wired connection can be used for Android Auto).
Cloud-based navigation gives access to real-time road and traffic information for easier journey planning and avoidance of delays. It can also be used to access information on local fuel prices and parking. If a cloud connection should be lost, embedded navigation provided on higher-grade models can be used.
The multimedia functions also include the “Hey Lexus” onboard assistant. This responds to voice commands, for example, to make a phone call, adjust the audio and climate control and search the internet. It can respond to informal comments, for example adjusting the air conditioning in response to “I’m cold.”
An upgraded data communications module (DCM) allows the vehicle to communicate with mobile networks and the internet. This enables connection to e-Care, a diagnostic service that provides advice to drivers in the rare event their car experiences a technical failure. Through the e-Care health check report, Lexus can monitor the vehicle at all times and share the data with Lexus retailers. The customer’s preferred Lexus centre can then make contact to schedule servicing at the ideal interval.
The DCM upgrade also makes it possible for owners to access their car remotely using the Lexus Link smartphone app. This can lock or unlock the doors, operate the hazard lights and the set the air conditioning to warm or cool the cabin before making a journey.
Inside the new Lexus ES 300h, the centre console has been revised, providing two cup holders and USB-A and USB-C ports for playback and device charging respectively. For convenience, the wireless charging tray (where specified) has been moved from inside to outside the console box. There is also a new Ammonite Sand interior colour trim option.
Production of the 2023 Lexus ES will commence in August 2022, with deliveries to customers expected in October.

Hi
I have just ordered my 4th ES. Really like the car.
Only minor complaint as a golfer would love the back seat to be split 2/3rds 1/3rds and a spate tyre.
This however does not stop me from purchasing the car.
Well done to Charles Hurst Belfast
Ian
Hello Ian, thanks for your kind words.
We are glad to hear you like your Lexus ES and appreciate you taking the time to provide feedback.
We wish you many more luxurious miles.
Thanks.
I note in the comments that the rear seat does not come split but only a pass through. Will a split seat be introduced in the future. All of the cars I see as an alternative have one.
thanks
Barry
Hello Barry,
Thank you for your comment.
Unfortunately, we do not have any information on this at the moment.

I own a 2013 ES300h in the US and it’s my favorite car I’ve ever owned. 2nd favorite was a 1992 Honda Prelude V-Tec.
Excellent 🚗 as you made it ,like 👍 fantasy drives…best all time ⏲️..well come too next level 👍 luxury car 🚗 luxess 23
Will there be a plug-in ES300h PHEV with rear seats folding down? I’d like one!
Hello Fred, thanks for your question.
We have no information on this at the moment. Please keep an eye on our mag and social media channels for the latest product updates.
Thanks.
I have been told by my Lexus dealer that i cannot have a factory fitted tow bar? This being the case, can you tell me if one can be fitted retrospectively? I need one for a bike rack so without it this car will not be suitable for me.
Thanks.
Hello Peter, thanks for your question.
Just to clarify, is this question in regards to the Lexus ES?
Thanks.
ES prices please
Hello John, thanks for your question.
The Lexus ES has a starting price of £39,980.00. You can see more on this here: https://www.lexus.co.uk/new-cars/es.
Thanks.
Has the issue about cars being stolen by using a CAN bus attack been properly resolved for the new 2023 ES300H?
Hello Kevin, thanks for your comment.
Modern vehicles invariably come with a high level of built-in security, but as with any model in our range, we would always recommend extra measures to protect your car from theft. Here are our top recommendations for improving car security to reduce the risk of becoming a victim to crime: https://fal.cn/3wm1C.
Thanks.
Does the 2023 lexus ES300h come with a lexus interface subscription and when will the 2024 model be available in the UK?
Hello Steven, thanks for your comment.
Our product team have asked if you can expand your question so that they can best assist you.
If you are asking do you receive access to the cloud service, the car would come with 4 years free of charge. If this does not answer your question however, please let us know.
In terms of the 2024 model, all information on new vehicle releases will be uploaded to our Mag or website. We would recommend keeping an eye on here to keep updated.
Thanks.
I was really satisfied with my ES until it was stolen by the Canbus method. The police have located it but it is damaged so I am waiting on my insurance company. If it is teturned to me I will be getting rid of it ASAP. I will not return to Lexus, you are selling premium cars with a known security flaw for which you have done nothing.
Hi Antony, thanks for your comment.
We are very sorry to hear that you have been a victim of theft. This is something that we are continously working on and will pass your feedback along to our team.
Thanks,
Lexus UK
