Lexus is pleased to announce a new partnership with Katie Boulter, the UK’s number-one-ranked women’s tennis player. She joins her male counterpart Cameron Norrie as a brand ambassador for Lexus, strengthening the company’s support for and involvement in British tennis.
Having recently helped the Lexus Great Britain Team defeat Sweden in the Billie Jean King Cup Play-Offs in November, Boulter will now have her sights set on preparing for the upcoming United Cup and the first Grand Slam of the 2024 season, The Australian Open, building on a hugely successful 2023.
Lexus is a headline sponsor of the Great Britain teams taking part in the Billie Jean King Cup and the Davis Cup competitions. The brand also has a wider commitment to tennis in the UK as Official Performance Partner and Official Automotive Partner of the Lawn Tennis Association. It provided a fleet of electrified vehicles, including the Lexus RX hybrid SUV, to transport tennis players, support staff and officials during the Billie Jean King Cup.
Boulter, 27, claimed her first WTA victory at the Rothesay Open tournament in Nottingham this year and also reached the third round of both the US Open and Wimbledon Championships. She is currently ranked 56 in the world.
Lexus will provide her with a Lexus car, to help her travel to training and UK events in comfort and style.
Chris Hayes, Director of Lexus in the UK, commented: “We’re looking forward to supporting Katie as she continues to develop her tennis career and we were thrilled by her electrifying performance at the Billie Jean King Cup. Lexus will be the perfect mobility partner to help her to get to and from events and training and we’re looking forward to cheering her on throughout the 2024 tennis season.”
Katie Boulter commented: “As a professional tennis player, I am constantly pushing boundaries and striving for excellence, and I see these same values reflected in Lexus’s commitment to innovation and performance. I am super excited to be joining their team as an ambassador and working closer with a brand that is so committed to supporting British tennis.
