The new CT 200h isn’t the only Lexus we’ve been eagerly anticipating this year. Although we have a couple more months until the all-new hybrid hatchback is out in the UK, there’s a new IS sports saloon already available at your local Lexus Centre.
Fittingly named the IS Advance, this latest version of the best-selling Lexus model range is packed with extra features at an exceptional price.
The IS 250 Advance and IS 200d Advance build on the standard SE grade with a hard disc drive (HDD) satellite navigation system, rear parking camera, heated electrically adjustable front seats, parking sensors, cruise control, rain-sensing windscreen wipers and an auto-dimming rear view mirror.
It’s the kind of options tick-list that should add up to a hefty price premium, yet the new IS 250 Advance costs just an extra £340 compared its SE equivalent (£26,495 on-the-road), with the IS 200d Advance coming in at an additional £130 (£24,995).
Even more appealing is the fact that, comparing like for like specifications, the V6 petrol-powered IS 250 Advance is more keenly priced than the BMW 320i and 325i SE, with the IS 200d Advance diesel – returning an official 134g/km CO2 emissions and 55.4mpg combined cycle fuel economy – offering better specification than the BMW 318d SE and the Audi A4 2.0 TDI 140 Technik.
Factor in Lexus’s unchallenged industry-leading customer service, and hallmark comfort, quality and refinement and the new IS Advance models prove to be truly forward thinking.
IS 250 Sport is too underpowered the new one is the same as the SR that I drive, it needs 40 more bhp.
The jags a better car
The IS250 Advance is a wonderful car. It looks sporty and is classy, refined, smooth and comfortable. It is also a very reliable car and I’m a delighted owner. There is no better car out there for me for this size of class.
Excellent, we’re pleased to hear you’re enjoying your Lexus IS and wish you many more miles of luxury.
Thank you.
