2019 Lexus NX: revised grades and specifications

The existing range of Lexus premium SUV models has been primed for 2019 with new equipment grades and revised specifications. This post concentrates on changes applied to the mid-size NX self-charging hybrid, while the previous post details changes applied to the full-size RX model.

2019 Lexus NX: overview

The Lexus NX mid-size SUV follows the same pattern as RX for 2019, with new NX, F Sport and Takumi grades. Specifications within each grade have been tailored to meet the preferences and requirements of customers.

Base and mid-grade models are supported by generous option packs that allow additional options to be easily added.

The other important revision for 2019 is that all models in the range now feature all-wheel drive, using our compact and efficient E-Four system.

  1. We picked up our new 69 plate NX F-sport Takumi on Friday prior to a trip to Poole , love the car but woeful navigation system ! cant believe there is no carplay ! selected its fastest option back to Torquay and it took me on every A road and B road it could , driving commands are poor and confusing, ended up using google maps on my partners iphone in the passenger seat , Lexus this is a priority and should not compromise driving safety with a poor system

    1. Hi Paul,

Thanks for getting in touch with us. We are sorry to hear you are unhappy with the navigation system. We are working on smartphone integration for models in our range, but have no new updates to share regarding this. We will pass your feedback onto our product team.

If you would like to discuss your concerns further, we would recommend contacting our customer relations team, whose details you will find via this link: https://www.lexus.co.uk/concierge-tool/contact-us/

      Thanks.

  2. Hi…just stumbled onto this site….I have a 2018 Lexus NX300 which I’m 90% happy with but the Satnav system is the worst I have ever used….this should be addressed quickly by Lexus or it will lose customers…

    1. Hi Al,

Thank you for getting in touch with us. We’re sorry to hear you’re not 100% happy with your NX. Is there anything we can help you with regarding your SatNav?

      Thanks.

      1. Agreed the sat nav is terrible , also the app doesn’t work and our dealership in woodford have promised the NX will have Apple play by May — lets see

  3. I am about to take delivery of a new NX300h which is fitted with a power tail gate. This is a great feature with nice functionality but, as a dog owner, there are times when I need to close the tail gate quickly by hand. Can the ‘power’ be switched off so that the gate can be opened and closed manually?

    1. Hi Denis,

Thanks for getting in touch. Congratulations on your new car. The power back door can be switched off to be used manually. You will be able to find the instructions on page 141 of the owner’s manual that you can find here: https://www.lexus.co.uk/owners/about-my-lexus/manuals/#manuals-form

You will find the most recent owner’s manual at the bottom of the page.

If you would like further help with this we would recommend discussing it with your Lexus centre when you take delivery of the car.

      Thanks.

  4. Hi,
I read that apple CarPlay and Android Auto are now available for retrofitting on the MY 2019 NX.
Please can you advise how to proceed with this.
    Thanks
    Dave

    1. Hi David,

Thanks for getting in touch. We are currently looking into a retrofit solution for the NX but have no further news to share at this time.

      Thanks.

    2. I understand that US dealers are retro fitting apple car play to my car – NX FSport 2019 for $200. When will UK dealers be offering this please?
