The New Lexus GS: World’s largest (12.3’’) display system.

The new Lexus GS features an ultra-wide 12.3’’ LCD multi-information display, the largest yet installed in a production vehicle. It’s been designed to be as easy to see as possible, minimising the driver’s eye-movement and making it easier to focus on the road ahead.

The display is operated by the Remote Touch Interface (RTI) which, in its second generation, works just like a computer mouse for a more intuitive operation. The positioning of the RTI (in the centre console) eliminates unnecessary driver movements and ensures it’s both comfortable and easy to operate.

The new GS is also equipped with the next generation Mark Levinson ® Premium Surround Sound system. Using new GreenEdge technology, comprising an ML5 fully digital (Class D) amplifier with 17 speakers and an output equivalent to 835W. The system sounds incredible yet still delivers energy savings of up to 70% and a weight reduction of 11% compared to previous system. Finally, the Head-Up Display (HUD) has been improved to enhance visibility. By using a wedge-shaped glass for the windshield and the PVC film for displaying information, the clarity of projection has been increased.
