The arrival of the lustrous Lexus RC in the UK is inching ever closer after the model went on sale in Japan last week. The dramatic coupé will arrive in the UK early next year.
In Japan, the model will be available from launch with the choice of a 3.5-litre V6 petrol engine that delivers in excess of 300bhp. It is mated to an 8-Speed Sport Direct Shift automatic transmission. Models with this powertrain will be badged ‘RC 350’.
There will also be the option of a hybrid powertrain, which marries a 2.5-litre four-cylinder petrol engine with an electric motor. Hybrid models will be badged ‘RC 300h’.
Lexus aims to sell 80 RC models per month in Japan. UK prices will be announced nearer to the model’s launch.
