Lexus has unveiled a distinctive new LC 500h Matte Prototype at the 2019 Barcelona Motor Show. The concept is another example of the brand’s effort to keep innovating, this time using special colours and original finishes.
The prototype wears a bold new colour called Space Orange, a shade inspired by the warm, reddish-yellow tones that can be seen emanating from the sun as it begins to set.
This spectacular colour is presented with a matt finish, which allows the LC to project a strikingly different appearance, similar to the application of Mercury Grey paint on the limited edition Lexus RC F 10th Anniversary model. Contrasting satin black 21-inch alloy wheels, plus a carbon fibre roof panel and active rear spoiler, complete the enhanced package from an external perspective.
However, the Space Orange influence continues inside the cabin. Brightly coloured accents are featured as contrasting elements on the instrument panel, steering wheel and door cards.
The 2019 Barcelona Motor Show runs until 19 May at the city’s Montjuïc exhibition centre.
