With its combination of luxury, cool, contemporary design, intelligent packaging and enjoyable driving dynamics, the Lexus NX 300h has attracted a wealth of new customers to the Lexus brand.
Now Lexus has further enhanced the petrol-electric hybrid crossover’s appeal, introducing several revisions and improvements, covering exterior and interior styling, safety and equipment features for the 2018 model year.
To highlight the NX’s famously graceful proportions, the new NX receives an entirely new spindle grille, a revised front bumper, and brand new alloy wheels.
To build upon the NX’s striking road presence, the headlights have been redesigned to feature Adaptive High-beam, and the rear lamp clusters have a new look too. Both, of course, feature sequential turn indicators.
To link the spindle grille and rear styling, the lower section of the rear bumper has been reshaped, amplifying the wide stance and low centre of gravity, while larger satin chrome trims have been added to accentuate the spindle motif.
On the inside, a suite of new colour options are now available and, throughout the cabin, a host of revised details combine to make the driver and passengers feel welcome. In addition to the refined switchgear and refreshed controls, Lexus has put increased emphasis on their customers’ digital lives.
This is reflected in the increased size of the central multimedia screen, from seven to 10.3 inches, the expanded wireless charging slot for larger devices, and enhanced power output of the USB ports for faster charging.
The new NX will also benefit from the introduction of Lexus Safety System +, equipping the car with a range of active safety and driver assistance features, including a Pre-Collision System, Adaptive Cruise Control, Adaptive High-beam System, Lane Departure Alert and Road Sign Assist.
Faithful to Lexus’s commitment to the hospitality principles of Omotenashi, the interior of the new NX offers unrivalled convenience and ease of use. The centre console has been entirely reimagined, with everything from the climate control panel to the analogue clock receiving ergonomic and feature upgrades, all creating a truly luxurious look and feel.
For effortless loading and unloading, the new NX will feature the convenience of a power rear door with “no-touch” opening and closing. So, when you approach the vehicle with your key on you, all you need to do to open the door is move your foot beneath the rear bumper. The same action will also close the rear door.
More details will be available nearer to the NX’s on-sale date, early in 2018.
