Lexus LBX has the best small SUV interior
The best-selling Lexus LBX continues to set benchmarks in one of the most competitive segments of the premium car market. Our full hybrid compact crossover has already won What Car?’s Car of the Year award in 2024, and Small SUV of the Year for the past two years. In the recent What Car? Awards 2026 the model has been judged to possess the best interior in the small SUV class, an honour that truly reflects how the LBX is an authentic Lexus, regardless of it being the smallest and most affordable vehicle in the line-up.
Commenting on the win, What Car? editor Steve Huntingford said: “The Lexus LBX might be the brand’s entry-level model, but it shows no signs of having been at the mercy of the bean counters. Its interior is trimmed in plush materials and put together with an uncommon level of precision. The physical climate controls are as user-friendly as they are well damped. The fact that our favoured Takumi model brings acoustic front side windows and a punchy Mark Levinson audio system only adds to the sense of luxury.”
