Diversity, Equity and Inclusion at Lexus

Diversity

At Lexus we are committed to making our workplace, our industry, our society and our world a better place for all.

We stand resolute behind our commitment to diversity, equity and inclusion as we wholeheartedly believe that diversity is critical to our future success. We seek input and innovation from a range of talented people – irrespective of age, gender, race or religion or any other personal characteristics.

It is with this fundamental belief at the heart of our operations – that we can and will strive to create an environment where all feel welcome, safe and heard, and everyone can contribute their best towards meaningful goals.

We’re committed to creating a truly inclusive working environment that attracts and engages diverse talent, enabling all our people to unleash their potential and be their true self at work. We welcome open and honest conversations internally and externally as to how we can consciously include and improve that inclusion – creating an environment where people choose to belong.

Now more than ever we will encourage that constructive dialog to guide our actions as we continue to improve how we contribute to society, and inspire unity in every aspect of our lives, our business and our communities. Lexus can, and will, find new and meaningful ways of doing this by working together with our community partners and stakeholders across the UK.

  1. Dear Lexus Happy New Year. Gender based direct discrimination should be a matter that is taken seriously and the impact on individuals, who have been subjected to such conduct by professionals appointed as representatives of Lexus should be investigated. Almost 6 months on from my experience, and my contact as recommended above I have received no correspondence regarding the matter. As a women I should not be made to feel less than; have sales manager try force me to purchase a car with illegal defects, not allow me the opportunity to speak with senior staff, nor award the information to make informed choice. Particularly, when all was provided and completed within a matter of minutes for a man, who had come with his family. This matter has caused me emotional and physical impact; as being treated so differently because of my gender has really impacted my world, I am in debt as I hold loan taken only to purchase this rare and anticipated vehicle from what I believed would be a trustworthy approved provider, I waited 4 years for the car of choice to become available only to have that stripped away by several men making me loose confidence in my options in a male dominated industry. You have a Diversity, Equity and Inclusion at Lexus policy, but your actions are not aligned. I do not wish this matter to remain unsatisfactorily unresolved, nor do I think it is acceptable for Lexus to not take this conduct seriously (no matter how many sales a person makes).

    1. Morning Miss Kaur,

Thank you, happy new year to you too.

We’re sorry to hear you remain unhappy with your experience at your local Lexus Centre. In the first instance, we’d recommend arranging a meeting with the Centre Principal at the Centre involved.

If you wish to escalate the matter to Lexus Customer Relations, they can be reached on 0345 129 5484 or email cr@lexus.co.uk

      Thank you.
