Lexus LBX Vibrant Edition: more choice, more style, more colour

Lexus LBX Vibrant Edition

For all of those who continue to love the Lexus LBX (launched in 2023), a newer limited edition model will be available from September 2025 to May 2026. The model in question? The Lexus LBX Vibrant edition.

Lexus LBX Vibrant Edition

As its name suggests, the Vibrant Edition gains eye-catching styling details that emphasise the LBX’s modern, street-smart looks. Adding yet more choice to the rich and diverse LBX range.

Andre Schmidt, Head of Lexus Europe, commented:

“The LBX has quickly established itself as a core model for Lexus in Europe, building a strong presence in new market territory and succeeding in its key role to bring new customers to our brand. It is already our second best-selling model, with more than 23,000 sales achieved in 2024. With the new Vibrant Edition, we are increasing choice and adding exclusive styling features that enhance its sporty, dynamic look. We are confident it will further enhance the LBX’s proven ability to attract conquest customers as an authentic Lexus, just smaller in size.”

The Ins and Outs

Three exterior colour-ways are available: bi-tone options combining an Astral Black roof and pillars with Ruby Red or Sonic Quartz bodywork, and a monotone Astral Black finish. As a finishing touch, the model’s special status is expressed by Vibrant Edition badging on the rear pillars. The LBX Vibrant Edition works to add a splash of colour to those city roads, whilst maintaining the craftmanship and elegance that makes the LBX a Lexus.

Inspired by the BX RR Morizo concept model, the garnish possesses a black chrome finish alongside the grille’s jet-black plating, whilst the city SUV’s “vibrant” character is captured by Black semi-aniline leather upholstery in the cabin and Dark Rose accents throughout the interior. Additionally, the sporty yet luxurious feel is evoked through red double-track Tatami feature stitching on the seatbacks and Dark Rose seat belts thus, adding that extra bit of vibrancy.

If that wasn’t enough, the LBX Vibrant Edition is equipped with the latest Lexus hybrid system, featuring an ultra-efficient 1.5-litre three-cylinder engine, producing a maximum 136 DIN hp/ 100 kW and remains most suited to navigating urban streets. This can be seen through the elevated view provided for the driver, offering an optimal view for navigation.

The new Lexus LBX Vibrant Edition will be a limited edition with planned production exclusively from September 2025 to May 2026.

  1. Will this model be like my LBX and have a 12 volt battery that fails if car not driven regularly and leaves you stranded and at the mercy of a recovery outfit. Due to the problem with the battery I cannot use my car to park at an airport in case it will not start on my return. Having paid £36000 for the car I am so disappointed

    1. Good afternoon Bryn,

Thank you for your honest feedback. We greatly value the voice of our customer.

We are attentive to the situation which you have highlighted. To provide a bit of reassurance, less than 1% of our entire customer base encounters issues with their 12v Battery. All modern cars drain the 12v battery when they are switched off. This is due to the onboard electrical systems. If the 12v battery is not given a chance to recharge often enough, it will go flat.

We pride ourselves on performance and reliability so to ensure there is a continuation and we live up to our own standards, we have introduced a higher performance battery for some of our models if and when needed.

If you have any further questions, please do not hesitate to ask.

      Kind regards,
      Lexus UK

  2. Does this have advanced security, my Lexus was stolen outside a supermarket and I was in there less than 20 minutes. Too many Lexus cars being stolen for me to consider purchasing another.

    1. Hello Linda,

Thank you very much for your question.

Toyota and Lexus models received software and hardware updates in 2021 which have almost eliminated theft of the newer vehicles targeted by criminals. For those customers who own pre-2021 models, Toyota GB has invested millions of pounds in a variety of solutions that help protect cars from theft. These include protective plates, immobilisers, blockers and trackers. When vehicles fitted with those trackers have been stolen, the recovery rate, to date, has been 96% – a huge reassurance to our customers.

As a vehicle manufacturer, we can never completely eliminate the risk of vehicle theft.

This is an industry-wide issue, concerning all vehicle manufacturers and affecting the most popular models first.

In order to further reduce the theft risk, we regularly collaborate and share information with insurance associations, police and law enforcement authorities, theft prevention experts and other key stakeholders around the world. This enables us to understand new threats and techniques used by thieves and develop more secured systems.

We apologise for your lack of faith in our brand. However, please rest assured that many mitigation measures are being established to reduce the theft of our cars.

      Many thanks,
      Lexus UK

  3. Oh dear! No heated steering wheel, this omission is typical of Toyota and now Lexus. When are you going to wake-up to current trends and customer expectations?

    1. Hello Fergus,

Thank you for your honest feedback. We take the voice of our customers very seriously.

Whereas our LBX Vibrant Edition does not feature a heated steering wheel, the LBX Takumi and Takumi Design do.

Generally, this feature is only available for our higher grade models.

  4. I don’t know if it is just my bad luck to have purchased an LBX but it has come with a number of faults that continually remain unresolved by the dealership. My first time with the brand and am so disappointed.

    1. Hello Clive,

Thank you for your honest feedback. We take the voice of our customers very seriously.

We are sorry that this has been your first experience with our brand. Your dealership should be best placed to handle any technical faults.

  5. I looked at the LBX as a compact quality vehicle but it has such a dark gloomy interior especially with the black pillars and headlining that I rejected it as a choice and bought something else. When will Lexus bring out a light coloured interior for the LBX ?

    1. Hello Peter,

Thank you very much for your question.

The only available interior for the new LBX Vibrant Edition is Black and Dark Rose Semi-Aniline Leather.

However, both the LBX Premium and Premium Plus offer an Ammonite Sand (Cream) Synthetic Leather interior.

We hope that helps to clarify your question, and apologise for any disappointment this has caused.

If you have any further queries, please do not hesitate to get in touch.

      Many thanks,
      Lexus UK

  6. I share the feeling of one of your previous tweets that the option of a lighter head lining shade would be beneficial as i personally find black a little dull and seem to make the cabin feel smaller . I was considering trading in my UX which has the light head lining and sun roof i road tested the LBX I was impressed but I did miss the head up display as well a worthwhile extra that I will make sure my next car has .
    Kindest Regards

    Brian

  7. Hi,
When are Lexus going to produce a LBX car with a light coloured roof lining. Have the battery issues been addressed, we wouldn’t want to come back off holiday and the car not start. This is not what we would expect from a prestige brand like Lexus.
