For all of those who continue to love the Lexus LBX (launched in 2023), a newer limited edition model will be available from September 2025 to May 2026. The model in question? The Lexus LBX Vibrant edition.

As its name suggests, the Vibrant Edition gains eye-catching styling details that emphasise the LBX’s modern, street-smart looks. Adding yet more choice to the rich and diverse LBX range.
Andre Schmidt, Head of Lexus Europe, commented:
“The LBX has quickly established itself as a core model for Lexus in Europe, building a strong presence in new market territory and succeeding in its key role to bring new customers to our brand. It is already our second best-selling model, with more than 23,000 sales achieved in 2024. With the new Vibrant Edition, we are increasing choice and adding exclusive styling features that enhance its sporty, dynamic look. We are confident it will further enhance the LBX’s proven ability to attract conquest customers as an authentic Lexus, just smaller in size.”
The Ins and Outs
Three exterior colour-ways are available: bi-tone options combining an Astral Black roof and pillars with Ruby Red or Sonic Quartz bodywork, and a monotone Astral Black finish. As a finishing touch, the model’s special status is expressed by Vibrant Edition badging on the rear pillars. The LBX Vibrant Edition works to add a splash of colour to those city roads, whilst maintaining the craftmanship and elegance that makes the LBX a Lexus.

Inspired by the BX RR Morizo concept model, the garnish possesses a black chrome finish alongside the grille’s jet-black plating, whilst the city SUV’s “vibrant” character is captured by Black semi-aniline leather upholstery in the cabin and Dark Rose accents throughout the interior. Additionally, the sporty yet luxurious feel is evoked through red double-track Tatami feature stitching on the seatbacks and Dark Rose seat belts thus, adding that extra bit of vibrancy.
If that wasn’t enough, the LBX Vibrant Edition is equipped with the latest Lexus hybrid system, featuring an ultra-efficient 1.5-litre three-cylinder engine, producing a maximum 136 DIN hp/ 100 kW and remains most suited to navigating urban streets. This can be seen through the elevated view provided for the driver, offering an optimal view for navigation.
The new Lexus LBX Vibrant Edition will be a limited edition with planned production exclusively from September 2025 to May 2026.

I hope the RR Morizo has a special interior like this when it eventually goes on sale in UK? Lexus don’t have long to sell it as 2030 will be the legal cutoff as its petrol powered. Having a LBX at the moment a big improvement would be a glass roof as the black interior I have makes the car very dark especially in the back.
Hi Simon,
Thank you for your honest feedback. We take the voice of our customers very seriously.
Please refer to our magazine for any future developments: https://mag.lexus.co.uk/
Many thanks,

Thank you. As I said a glass roof would make the interior more airy and if a plug in hybrid was available that would make this the perfect everyday car. Even though I really want an RR Morizo I love being able to drive locally with electric. A longer electric range would be a great improvement. I love my LBX. I’ll be staying with Lexus. I was previously a Toyota customer so have stayed in the family.
Good afternoon Simon,
No problem at all. We are so glad to have you apart of our Lexus family.
We wish you many more happy miles in your Lexus LBX.
Kind regards,
Lexus UK
I don’t think so, petrol would be still in the market for a very long time after 2030
Great comment regards the RR Morizo. Second that.
Exactly. Glass roof/moonroof/ sunroof would help seal the deal especially if it was on a RR version in the uk for an acceptable price!
Looking forward to seeing the Vibrant Edition in the showroom.
Good morning Gerald,
Thank you for your comment, it’s always great to hear more positive feedback about our vehicles.
Kind regards,
Lexus UK
I wonder were it’s available to see? I hope Cardiff has one?
Would this model have a heated steering wheel?
And I agree with the above comment regarding the sunroof.
Hello Ian,

We can confirm that this model does not feature a heated steering wheel or a sunroof. Hopefully this clarifies your question.
However, please stay up-to-date with other new features on the LBX Vibrant Edition via our magazine: https://mag.lexus.co.uk/

Then it’s a deal-breaker. Up here in the frozen north of Scotland allied to poorer circulation a heated steering wheel is no longer a luxury. Pity. I’ll stick to my UX250h for now.
William
I would be interested in buying but the engine is too small and lacking power. It needs a 2.0 litre with 200BHP without a large price increase. Interiors apart from this special edition are far too plain and generally dark Toyota need to take a look at what Renault have done with the Renault 5. 25 yrs ago VW offered many different colour combinations for the interior of even it’s cheapest car the Lupo. The exterior colour choice for the LBX is very limited you need some pale and bright metallic blues and greens or even some bright colours offered on the basic Aygo.

Does the vibrant have a head display.
Good morning Pat,
Thank you for your query. We can confirm that the Lexus LBX Vibrant does indeed have a head unit/display.

Having owned a LBX for more than 6 months, I can confirm it’s a lovely car.
The one thing i’m missing is roof bars, unable to transport long fishing rods about
possibly others have similar issues.

Hopefully Lexus will build this model better than my takumi design. Probably the worst new car I have recently purchased. My car had a dreadful loud rattle coming from the drivers side upper seat belt mounting area. Three times it was in for investigation and three times the car was returned with the same rattle. The LBX is not built to the usual Lexus standard. I sold my car just this week and I doubt that I will cross the threshold of a Lexus dealership again. The staff at the local dealership were always kind and super friendly but the car itself, absolutely dreadful.
Morning George,
We’re sorry to learn that the LBX did not live up to the standards our Lexus drivers have come to expect. Your feedback will be shared internally.
We trust you’ve now found a car that you’re happy with and hopefully are still with the Lexus family.
Thank you.
Don’t think I will be looking had several models in the past inc IS Rc UX and now the LBX after owning for over a year I can honestly say this is the worse Lexus I have owned. It seems to be built to a price than rather quality as other Lexus Models.
Will be changing car soon as not happy at all with this model.
Morning Stephen,
We’re sorry to learn that the LBX has not lived up to the standards our Lexus drivers are use to. Your feedback will be shared internally.
We hope you will still consider Lexus for your next car.
Thank you.
