Lexus UK is delighted when its cars, services and people are recognised for their achievements in the automotive industry and beyond. Last year, critics and motorists alike were generous enough to bestow numerous awards, including multiple repeat wins in the vital areas of reliability and customer satisfaction, as well as for our new best-selling LBX model. Which begs the question: What will this year bring? Over the next 12 months this Lexus awards 2025 article will be updated with the latest honours. So watch this space!
Lexus awards 2025:
Record UK sales led by LBX
Lexus achieved record new car sales in the UK for a second successive in 2024 with 16,678 vehicles sold, an increase of 4.5% on the previous year’s performance. Leading the sales figures was the all-new LBX, which sold more than 5,500 units. This was closely followed by the NX with more than 4,300 deliveries, almost two-thirds of which were the NX 450h+ plug-in hybrid version.

These results also contributed to new record figures for Lexus in worldwide markets. Our global sales total rose by 3.3% to 851,214 units – another record-breaking figure. Meanwhile, European sales accelerated forward by 20% to 88,1814 units. In Western Europe, 99% of all new vehicles sold were electrified.
Lexus LBX retains its Best Small SUV title in What Car? awards
The Lexus LBX has achieved the distinction of becoming a What Car? award winner for two years in succession, retaining the title of Best Small SUV in the 2025 honours. The model’s success follows on from its dream debut a year ago when What Car? named it Car of the Year in addition to winning its SUV category.

What Car? editor Steve Huntingford commented: “The LBX may be the smallest Lexus you can buy, but inside it looks and feels very much like the brand’s larger SUVs, combining plush materials with superb build quality. Dynamically, the LBX strikes a fine balance between comfort and control. Meanwhile, its hybrid engine combines outstanding frugality with gutsy performance.”
During the past 12 months, the LBX has fulfilled its promise as a game-changing model, bringing authentic Lexus craftsmanship, luxury and refinement into one of the most fiercely contested market segments. In its first full year on sale, it established itself as our best-selling model in the UK and helped secure a new record sales volume.
Please please please bring the LBX Morizo RR to the UK.
I have owned an lbx premium plus design for almost 12 months and found it excellent even having owned BMW and Audi’s
I will never go back.
Bought a Lexus LBX Takumi design less than a week ago, it’s better in every detail than first thought. Never purchased a Toyota before in my 69yrs on this mortal coil, absolutely superb drive and build, it’s the best car I’ve had the pleasure of owning. Early day’s yet but wow. Everything about the experience has been top notch, the dealership in Liverpool was a very professional setup and made the whole buying experience from start to finish a pleasurable one.
Coming up to one year of LBX ownership, first service booked next month, and very happy with our purchase. Total quality fit and finish which we are as happy with now as on day of collection. Economy has exceded our previous deisel bmw 1 series which has seen the lbx app report high 50’s mpg in local use, 65 mpg plus on longer trips and a best (a mainly downhill drive home from the hills of Princetown dartmoor!) on a 20 plus miles route showing an incredibke 86.3mpg. Maybe not a true indication but certainly proof that the hybrid did take back as much energy downhill as was possible. Not convinced to purchase a full battery car for usual range and charging limitations as I see for devon and this car has been the perfect half-way-house moving away from fully internal combustion vehicles.
I have had my LBX nearly 6 months and it is a lovely car to drive. The bossy messages are a bit of a nightmare, but I assume this applies to all new cars these days.
Wow, could agree more. Had our Premium plus LBX since mid August 2024. Our third Lexus and the best!
Although we have been pleased with our 4WD model since it was delivered in September 2024, it has only delivered an average of 51mpg despite being driven gently in ECO mode. The reviews led us to expect nearer to 58mpg.
Love my LBX even though it has already broken down with a battery problem. It’s such a lovely car to drive, I actually look forward to going out in it. I think it should come with a one day training course on how to use the technology but even without using all the clever tech you can still drive it very happily.
I bought my LBX at 4 months old from the dealer, it had a duff 12 volt battery. what a struggle to get them to change it, eventually they did and the carhas lived up to expectations since.
After reading and watching reviews, personally visiting several dealer brands, I was amazed and impressed by the Lexus LBX. The levels of detail and quality were cut above it’s rivals. Taking into account levels of trim, equipment, features, and performance, pound for pound it was outstanding. What did I do? Ordered one through Lexus Swindon. No test drive. As an average sized, height, weight bloke, I seem to just fit right in most vehicles. Just sitting in the LBX static, was enough to persuade me. Picking it up in March 2025. 😁
