Update on dealer network, servicing and repair work during COVID-19

In these challenging times, the priority of Lexus UK is always to ensure the well-being of our customers and staff. We want to reassure you that we are working alongside our dealer network to follow government advice, maintain the safety of our customers and colleagues, and to help keep you moving.

Service, MoT tests, maintenance and repair

Our service workshops throughout the UK continue to operate as normal within the social distancing guidelines we have had in place for many months, and remain fully operational for servicing, MoT tests and repairs.

New and used car sales

Please note that New and Used car showrooms are now open once more, following the easing of national restrictions on 12 April. However, our sales teams are now working digitally and will be able to talk to you by phone or video, or through a messaging service. Online sales consultations are available to bring the dealership experience directly to you, with no need to leave the comfort of your own home. These will ensure that we can still meet your needs almost as well as if you were physically with us.

It is still possible to collect a new car but the handover will now be outside. Home delivery options may also be available in some areas.

To protect customers and staff, we will be managing the number of people at each centre and adapting our usual processes.  Before visiting, we recommend you make contact with your nearest Lexus centre in advance.

Contacting Lexus Financial Services

Please contact Lexus Financial Services if you have urgent questions or concerns about your vehicle payments. A payment deferral may be available if you are experiencing temporary financial difficulties as a result of the COVID-19 situation. However, deferrals might not be the best option for everyone and if you believe your financial difficulties will be over a longer term, please contact us so we can work with you to assess your individual circumstances and tailor a solution for the future.

  1. Dear sir , Due to Covid 19 my Lexus LX had traveled less than three hundered miles since its first service yet my main dealer told me I would forfeit my guarantee if I did not have the second service carried out, by the time the third service is due it will of hardly moved again due to covid . I have looked to see if Lexus has taken this into account but can not find any comments, my main dealer say they have had no notification on the issue and I must continue with the service program. Do you have any information or comment on this. My car will of done less than a thousand miles via three services.

    1. Hi Jim,

Thanks for getting in touch. Our vehicles should be serviced every 10,000 miles or 12 months, whichever comes soonest. Some vehicle maintenance needs, like oil and other fluids, require changing at regular intervals, regardless of how many miles the car has travelled. We recommend getting your vehicle booked in for a service and sticking to the recommended maintenance schedule.

      Thanks

  2. I have a prepaid maintenance plan and like the previous customer, my car has not moved since COVID. Is there a deferment that can be applied to prepaid maintenance plans? Am I able to get a 1 year extension on my prepaid services?
    Please advise.
    ~Ms. Mitchell

    1. Hello Stacy,
      Thank you for contacting us.
We can only comment on the UK market, so we would recommend contacting Lexus in your region for further assistance.
      Thanks.
