New Lexus UX: UK grade structure and pricing

The all-new Lexus UX 250h compact SUV crossover will launch in March 2019 in a line-up that adopts Lexus’s new, focused, three-grade structure.

The choice will consist of UX, F Sport and Takumi models, with a complementary range of option packs designed to give customers the freedom to enhance their vehicle’s technology, audio, performance, safety and luxury specifications.

Both front- and all-wheel drive versions of the UX 250h will be available. The latter is equipped with Lexus’s compact, lightweight and fuel-efficient E-Four system, which provides electric motor drive to the rear axle, automatically providing extra grip in slippery conditions. All-wheel drive will be an option on the Takumi and on UX and F Sport models in combination with the Premium Plus or Takumi Pack.

The introduction of the UX 250h marks Lexus’s entry into the growing premium compact SUV crossover segment with a car that is rich in striking design, advanced technology features and luxurious quality. As the first model to be built on the Lexus Global Architecture – C platform, it also delivers strong dynamic performance and driver rewards, with a low centre of gravity, highly rigid body and suspension tuned for the ideal balance of responsiveness, stability and ride comfort.

In the UK the new UX 250h will be offered exclusively with a self-charging 2.0-litre hybrid powertrain. This fourth-generation of Lexus’s market-leading hybrid technology features a new, high-efficiency four-cylinder petrol engine that has been specifically engineered for the UX. It secures excellent fuel economy, low emissions and a characteristically smooth, quiet and refined drive, coupled with the dynamic performance rewards of the new GA-C platform.

    1. Hi Thomas,

Thanks for getting in touch. The new UX will not have Apple CarPlay. Please keep an eye on our blog and social channels for multimedia updates in the future.

      1. I think it’s very disappointing that the UK model does not have apple car play when the USA model does. I won’t change my car until that is rectified

        1. Hi Tom,

Thank you for getting in touch. Apple CarPlay is something that we are currently working on. Please keep an eye on our blogs and social channels for the latest updates.

          1. Hello Lexus. Your reply to Tom Hamilton is encouraging as every reply from you up to now has been “we have no information at this time”.

I’ve heard that the new MY20 RX will be the first to feature CarPlay in the UK but hopefully you’ll rollback to cover at least 2018/19 other Lexus models too.

    1. Hi Jon,

Thanks for getting in touch. The tax band for UX Takumi AWD is £135 (CO2 is 103). We hope this helps.

  1. A basic corsa has Apple CarPlay. For a luxury car this is a serious omission. What are the plans?

  2. I test drove the UX yesterday and I was sold on the car, until I read, that it doesn’t have apple carplay. How can a £41k car, packed with all latest technology not have a carplay?! It makes absolutely no sense. 😕

  3. Hello Lexus, please can you advise what are seats made of in premium pack? Is 2019 model of UX four wheel drive or is it an additional option? Regards

    1. Hi,

Thanks for your interest in the Lexus UX. Premium Pack equipped vehicles come with Fabric seats, whereas Premium Plus Pack equipped vehicles come with leather. E-Four (four wheel drive) is available in combination with Sunroof and either Premium Plus Pack or Takumi pack for the lower two grades. The top of the range Takumi model is also available with E-Four. We hope this helps. Please let us know if you have any more questions. Thanks.

  4. a real shame that the brand behind the first car in the world to have satellite navigation fitted as standard does not have CarPlay !
Even more a shame that we have no idea on when this will be in corrected (if it will be corrected).

UX is supposedly targeted for millennials…not having a CarPlay or Android auto is a novice mistake

    1. I totally agree! They will lose loads of customers because of it. I will definitely look at other cars, if this isn’t sorted by the time I’m due to get a new one.

  5. I can see that the Lexus mobile phone app has been updated to Lexus Link ? Could you explain the intent behind it. I see no new functionality – should we expect some new features/roadmap ?

    1. Hi there,

Thank you for getting in touch. At the moment, the update has created new functionality for cars with connected services, however there will be more developments in the future that cover the whole Lexus range.

  6. So any news on the CarPlay , come on Lexus you can’t leave your customers in such a blur ?
Who is advising the communication plan, this is the worst way to do it ?

      1. I just bought a UX, what does that mean ? There will be no integration for UX ?
It is really frustrating to not be informed or given an indication on when this integration will include the UX, a brand new model by the way.

Take care of your customers and keep them informed of what you are doing to satisfy them

        1. Hi Sam,

Thank you for getting back in touch and we’re sorry for any inconvenience this may have caused. At this time we have no further updates to share regarding retrofitting, however we are developing smartphone integration to cover models across our range.
